Virtual Therapy
California - Colorado - New York
free initial consultation
Finding a therapist that is the right fit is important. The 15-minute initial consultation will give me a chance to learn about you and for you to ask me any questions about my practice.
If we decide that my practice is not the best fit for your needs, I am happy to provide referral alternatives.
psychotherapy
Fee for 45 minute sessions are $255 which is consistent with doctoral level therapists in major metropolitan areas in California and New York. Fees will be billed at the end of each session by credit or debit card through the secure client portal. I am currently not in-network with any insurance panels.
using your out-of-network benefits
Please check with your insurance to see if you have out-of-network benefits to cover a portion of the costs. This form helps to guide you through questions to ask about your coverage. Many insurance plans have out-of-network benefits that cover some portion of visits (often 60-80%), especially if you are on a PPO plan.
I can provide you with a superbill so you can pursue reimbursement using your out-of-network benefits. If submitting claims sounds overwhelming, you can use the Reimbursify app for a small fee to complete claims for you.
Therapy visits are also FSA and HSA eligible.
Good Faith Estimate Notice
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.
You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
